Our planet is the most precious natural resource that we humans rely on for our very survival. Climate change is a very real challenge, and with rising sea temperatures, plastic pollution, air pollution, deforestation, and animal species dying out, NOW is our last chance to act to save the planet that we call home before the effects of human activity cannot be reversed.
Every artwork sold in this collection will go towards supporting the World Land Trust and their Buy an Acre campaign. All net proceeds of sales made via this campaign will be shared equally 50/50 between the artist and the World Land Trust, to ensure a safe future for wildlife, in a real, measurable and tangible way.
About the artist:
Ingrid Bittar | Britta, 1989 – Rio de janeiro / Berlin
Immersed in the private universe of domesticity and family, Ingrid Bittar started working with collage, a technique through which she developed and matured key aspects of her work. Her production unfolded to embroidery, watercolour and three-dimensional crochet. While the last three techniques were rationally chosen, collage remains a compass rooted in her gut feelings.
She received her bachelor’s degree in Design from PUC-Rio in 2013 and complemented her artistic formation with courses at the School for Visual Arts Parque Lage. In 2014, Ingrid was selected for Hans Ulrich Obrist’s and
Simon Castets’s 89 plus project. On the same year her work became part of the Chateaubriand and Rio’s MoMA collection. Her work has been shown in multiple exhibitions between Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Berlin and Arles.

In 2016, Ingrid was nominated for the PIPA Prize and, in 2018, her works were featured in the Garden Broadcasts during the Dissident Gardens exhibition at the Het Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam.
